Versailles, Brown Co., Illinois First Methodist Church, where Minnie P Hume was baptized as a child, married Wm. Jennings Reathaford, and sadley the place of her funeral. Minnie was quite young, 55 when struck with cancer and died. Many friends and family attended her funeral, and is was considered one of the largest gatherings for a funeral in that erea. The guestbook signatures reflect approximatley 300 people in attendance, however it is also reported than many could not get in to sign the book, many attended her funeral congregated outside the church and sitting in carriages and wagons.

Peggy next married Carl Wayne Stringer on 11 Jan 1962 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Carl was born on 10 Nov 1938 in Lufkin, Angelina Co., TX. Another name for Carl was Pod. They had four children: Randall Carl, Crystal Joan, Stacy Robin, and Tammy Gay.
4-Gary Lee Reathaford was born on 16 Jun 1939 in Versailles , Brown Co., Ill and died in 23 Jan. The cause of his death was Anyerism.
Medical Notes: Every descendant to this Reathaford line should be checked for anyerisms. We have several family members who's death can be attributed to anyerism including Uncle Loren Reathaford who died of anyerism in the stomach, Uncle Gary Lee Reathaford who died of ceribral anyerism, Aunt Mary Ann Reathaford Foote who passed due to complications of ceribrial anyerism.
I have thought since these accumulative deaths, that Gary's older brother James William who seemed to be a healthy baby, passed at 10 days and this could have also been an anyerism, but was considered an unknown cause at time of death.
Gary married Florance Verleen Carroll. Florance was born on 17 Jun 1940. They had two children: Vernie Lee and Eva Lynn.
